Always wanting to be one of the crowd, Carleigh tries to grow up fast so she’ll fit in. She finds her first love in Aiken Lyons, who watched Carleigh grow into a beautiful young lady. The only problem is that his eighteenth birthday is the day after their first date, making it illegal for them to date. If she wants to keep seeing him, they’ll have to keep their relationship a secret. After Aiken goes on a mission trip to Africa, Carleigh is savagely dragged into the darker side of the adult works by Richard - Aiken’s friend. Carleigh lashes out in an attempt to free herself from him. Instead, she finds herself completely trapped. Reckless with take you into the tortured existence of a teenage girl who wants to experience the more exciting side of life, but rapidly finds herself on a collision course with disaster. It contains mature content, strong language, and painfully graphic details. (I would like to also have a line from one of the following reviews included, but I’m not sure how long they can be. Please advise.) Reviews from Goodreads: "I gotta say WOW!!! When reading I could not put it down. I am 23yrs old. I can remember being 15 in High School. And my life was nothing like Carleigh's, I really felt for her. I cried a few times, I was rooting for her to make it through all that bullshit. It's not a typical YA, and definitely not a book for the weak heart. I don't think I'll ever forget her story.” ~Nashly "This book though written about a young adult is not intended to be read by that audience. This story is based on actual events. Events that contain extreme language and explicit, graphic sex scenes that at times border on cruelty.” ~Literati Literature Lovers

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: When Carleigh DuMetz turns fifteen, she quickly joins her mischievous friends in seemingly innocent adventures, which brings to light her naivete. Always wanting to be one of the crowd, Carleigh tries to grow up fast so she'll fit in. She finds her first love in Aiken Lyons, a handsome young man from her neighborhood, who watched Carleigh grow into a beautiful young woman. The only problem is that his eighteenth birthday is the day after Aiken and Carleigh's first date. If she wants to keep seeing him, they'll have to keep their relationship a secret. After Aiken goes on a mission trip to Africa, Carleigh is savagely dragged into the darker side of the adult world by Vic-Aiken's friend who just so happens to be a power-hungry police officer. Vic seems to spend all of his free time stalking and blackmailing Carleigh, and she lashes out in an attempt to free herself from him. Instead, she finds herself completely trapped. For the first time in her life, she attempts to defend herself; but finds that there is still so much she needs to learn-and quick! Reckless will take you into the tortured existence of a somewhat innocent adolescent girl who wants to experience the more exciting side of life, but rapidly finds herself on a collision course with disaster. It contains mature content, strong language, and painfully graphic details. A censored version of Reckless is available under the title: Little 15: Carleigh's Confessions, Vol. 1., which is intended for young adults. It contains mature content and strong language; but, the graphic details found in Reckless have been toned down drastically, or left out altogether. Little 15 is an excellent example of a teenager out of control, and should be taken as a warning to young people of the dangers inherent in growing up too fast, and keeping secrets from those who can truly help them avoid trouble.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: There were eight of us in the room, and we were discussing contemporary matters and persons, I do not understand these gentlemen! remarked A. They are fellows of a reckless sort . Really, desperate . There has never been anything of the kind before. Yes, there has, put in P., a grey-haired old man, who had been born about the twenties of the present century; there were reckless men in days gone by also. Some one said of the poet Y zykoff, that he had enthusiasm which was not directed to anything, an objectless enthusiasm; and it was much the same with those people their recklessness was without an object. But see here, if you will permit me, I will narrate to you the story of my grandnephew, M sha P lteff. It may serve as a sample of the recklessness of those days. He made his appearance in God's daylight in the year 1828, I remember, on his father's ancestral estate, in one of the most remote nooks of a remote government of the steppes. I still preserve a distinct recollection of M sha's father, Andr i Nikol evitch P lteff. He was a genuine, old-fashioned landed proprietor, a pious inhabitant of the steppes, sufficiently well educated, according to the standards of that epoch, rather crack-brained, if the truth must be told, and subject, in addition, to epileptic fits . That also is an old-fashioned malady . However, Andr i Nikol evitch's attacks were quiet, and they generally terminated in a sleep and in a fit of melancholy. He was kind of heart, courteous in manner, not devoid of some pomposity: I have always pictured to myself the Tzar Mikha l Fe dorovitch as just that sort of a man.

This book was released on 1983-11-15 with total page 1196 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Our most eloquent champion of individualism, Emerson acknowledges at the same time the countervailing pressures of society in American life. Even as he extols what he called “the great and crescive self,” he dramatizes and records its vicissitudes. Here are all the indispensable and most renowned works, including “The American Scholar” (“our intellectual Declaration of Independence,” as Oliver Wendell Holmes called it), “The Divinity School Address,” considered atheistic by many of his listeners, the summons to “Self-Reliance,” along with the more embattled realizations of “Circles” and, especially, “Experience.” Here, too, are his wide-ranging portraits of Montaigne, Shakespeare, and other “representative men,” and his astute observations on the habits, lives, and prospects of the English and American people. This volume includes Emerson’s well-known Nature; Addresses, and Lectures (1849), his Essays: First Series (1841) and Essays: Second Series (1844), plus Representative Men (1850), English Traits (1856), and his later book of essays, The Conduct of Life (1860). These are the works that established Emerson’s colossal reputation in America and found him admirers abroad as diverse as Carlyle, Nietzsche, and Proust. The reasons for Emerson’s influence and durability will be obvious to any reader who follows the exhilarating, exploratory movements of his mind in this uniquely full gathering of his work. Not merely another selection of his essays, this volume includes all his major books in their rich entirety. No other volume conveys so comprehensively the exhilaration and exploratory energy of perhaps America’s greatest writer. LIBRARY OF AMERICA is an independent nonprofit cultural organization founded in 1979 to preserve our nation’s literary heritage by publishing, and keeping permanently in print, America’s best and most significant writing. The Library of America series includes more than 300 volumes to date, authoritative editions that average 1,000 pages in length, feature cloth covers, sewn bindings, and ribbon markers, and are printed on premium acid-free paper that will last for centuries.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Public Debt Dynamics of Europe and the U.S., provides the evidence and implications of current policies by sovereigns and central banks, in dealing with the debt abyss. It brings in perspective the diversity of opinion reigning in modern economics and finance and outlines the themes which, among themselves, are defining the society in which we live. Our epoch has accepted the theory that leveraging is good for a person, a company or even a nation. This has led to the debt syndrome and its disastrous aftereffects. Throughout the book evidence emerges that piling up public debt can lead to an unmitigated disaster. This is demonstrated through case studies on Greece, Spain, Italy, France and the United States – in short, those western countries that nowadays have lost control of their senses and of their economy. This book uses real life examples, using case studies as evidence of good and bad approaches to social, economic and financial life. Live events also help as undisputable demonstrators of successes and failures in the search for solutions in getting out of the hole western governments find themselves. As Denis Healey, a former British chancellor of the Exchequer, once said: “The first law of holes is that if you are in one stop digging. Provides insight and implications on the current policies of sovereigns and central banks Uses real life practical examples and case studies on Greece, Spain, Italy, France and the United States Examines developing countries, particularly BRICS, and their exposure to debt Focuses on public health and the effects it has on the economy
